Strengths: Superb picture. Reads home-burned mp3s, audio, and VCDs. Good battery life. Also reads DVD audio standard disks.
Weakness: Wish it had switchable region codes; will not read home-burned SVCDs.
Unlike a previous reviewer, I get a full 2.5 hours from my battery--sometimes, a little more. I suspect he had a bad battery with the unit and should get a replacement. This unit does it all--it will read virtually anything you put in it. The only exception is home made SVCDs, which product a jumpy and erratic picture. This unit is a very nice unit. However, for the price you should be able to watch at least 1 full movie of about 2 hours on it. I charged my battery up fully overnight. I went on a flight and tried watching a 2 hour movie on it and only got about 1 hour and 35 minutes into the movie before the unit turned itself off. Strengths: Very good quality player. Stands up to many tests
Weakness: Problem with region codes. Average battery life
This is a wonderful player. I have taken the unit on the road in my car. The kids and family were very impressed. I did not have the car adapter but I did use an inverter to supply continuous power, which worked very well. I would definitely recommend this unit for it's brilliant picture and screen size. I attached the unit to an LCD projector and wow!
